The best thing for you to do is to read it every day for a week and just see what happens.
Read it as if it were true. Try not to say to yourself "oh, that's not true" or "I don't believe that" because these are just your current negative patterns trying to keep their hold on your mind.
Everything - even negative thought patterns - wants to continue to as it is. This is the Law of Inertia, and it holds true for everything in the Universe. So, as you're trying to establish new positive thought patterns, the old negative ones will attempt to interrupt this process. This resistance to change is natural and unavoidable. So the best thing for you to do is just TRY it and see... Try reading the Morning Prayer every day for a week and see how you feel.
If negative thoughts or resistance comes up, simply ignore them and continue on "as if" you really believed what you were reading.
Another tip is to read it out loud. This has the multiplicative affect on your mind:
You SEE the words
You THINK the words
You SAY the words and
You HEAR the words
The synergy of these four methods of ingestion is so powerful that in short time it will overcome any negative thought patterns that you current have.
